Tips for an accepted photo
- Stand a little away from the wall so you don't cast a shadow behind you.
- Don't wear a cap or sunglasses.
- The e-Visa portal asks for a scan of your passport page as well. That is a separate upload.
Questions
Why does IDsize keep the file under 300 KB?
Official Indian visa pages give two different limits, 1 MB and 300 KB. Staying under 300 KB works with both.
Does India specify a head size?
No exact range is given, only that the face must be centred and fully visible. IDsize uses the US range of 50–69% as a guide.
